Statement of Solidarity with ILWU Local 63

November 29, 2012

Statement of Solidarity

The Los Angeles General Membership Branch of the Industrial Workers of the World stands in solidarity with the striking members of ILWU Local 63 Office Clerical Unit.

As fellow workers in Los Angeles we support the decision by ILWU Local 63 to strike after 30 months without a contract and good faith efforts to come to an agreement with their employers. We further support the decision of ILWU Locals 13 and 94 to show solidarity with the workers of ILWU Local 63 and refuse to cross their picket lines.

The I.W.W. shares a strong, rich history with the I.L.W.U. in Los Angeles, as such we share in our sisters' and brothers' struggle for better working conditions. We pledge that no member of the IWW will cross the Local 63 picket line.

In Solidarity,
Emma Lang

On behalf of the Los Angeles General Membership Branch IWW
